After quite a few years of showing at top class level with horses bred by other studs, we decided to introduce our own breeding programme. It was proving more and more difficult to find a suitable stallion in the UK, so we decided to look further a field this involved several visits to studs in Belgium, France, Germany and Holland. At one stage we seriously considered importing from America, and visited several Arabian studs in Arizona, but even with the vast resources in this region we were unable to find a suitable prospect.
Eldyr was imported from Arabica Belgium in 1986 as a foal, we had at last found our potential "Stallion". His breeding was just what we were looking for, with Aswan bloodlines on both sides of his pedigree. Our faith was soon justified in him when he sired three British National Supreme Champions, including the now famous"Shulay Faberge".Plus many other top class show winners too numerous to mention.

At this time we also acquired the fabulous mare Fayrelands Silver Lace who
became our foundation mare. She also managed to carry on her illustrious show career at the same time.

Lace must be the top show/broodmare in the country.
The only mare who is a Supreme National Champion and also the dam of two Supreme National Champions.
Her grand children are also following the family tradition. Shulay Fanci Gold was best yearling filly at the Nationals in 1998.
Shulay Golden Temptress best yearling filly and Junior National Champion at the Nationals 1999.

Gold "N" Silver has excellent movement and conformation, complimented by a stunning golden colour, a real quality boy with tons of personality.
After much thought and deliberation we all agreed to have Gold "N" Silver ( Indi to his friends ) gelded.
We had decided to cut down on the Stud for various reasons ( not least we are getting on a bit ) we now have only three brood mares. Therefore Indi was really wasted as an Entire, Karen has broken him in and will go on to show him under saddle and endurance.
Looking to the future he will be in his prime for Amber our granddaughter, he should be a real schoolmaster for her.

TOP PRESS!
Shulay Faberge.
Has gone to a new home in Denmark with our dear friend Wendy Norris. We wish them both a successful show season and some super babies for 2004. The photographs below show his goodbyes, to our few remaining mares and to our grand daughter Amber. We shall be holidaying with him later in the year.
Due to family commitments, we are aiming to reduce our equine numbers, but will still retain one or two mares for breeding on a smaller scale.
